We are keeping the translation and commentary of the Mool Mantar, along with some other parts, unpublished for now..

(Now) Recite (It). A command that you get the essence (It), and be always mindful of It!

Note: Mostly it is considered the title of Shabad/Bani (Japji) by most, which is fine as well.

(The revealed Eternal Identity of actual true God) Is(was) True before anything, stays True in all the ages (dimensions, timeframes, paradigms etc),...

Stays true in every Present/Now moment, and still (will) stay True after (if or when) everything else vanishes ।।

Essentially this truth remains true irrelevant of time(s), independent of time, precedes time, endures through time and is unaffected by time.

Over thinking (stressing out) won't make one clear/clean/pure even if you keep thinking repeatedly over and over countless times.

Or,

Body cleansing won't clean (purify) your mind no matter how much bathing you do.

Note: Both translation are valid and within GurMatt framework, as cleansing practices practiced internally and externally will not achieve purity.

Being mute at mouth or suppressing inner thoughts deliberately (concept of nirvichar) will not resolve inner quests or wandering no matter how long one tries.

Hunger (desires of mind) is not satisfied even by gathering the riches and possessions (of entire universes).

(You) having countless clever tricks, yet not a single one will accompany you in the end.

How can one become truthful/righteous? (How can you befriend the truth and create a relationship with the truth?) (And) how can (this) veil of falsehood (temporal matrix) be torn apart/or be crossed (that which is disposable be broken from)?

Stick to the directives (plan), O Nanak (He) gave you all along.

Or from Nanak's first person prospective,

Following the directions given to you all along, when the Real/God's true Identity exposed to you.

Note: A life is not a predetermined, with set actions and outcomes. One's entry and final exit are predetermined by the Command(er). After the initial entry, one's actions are influenced by Maya (Illusion/Matrix) until the final exit.

Through the commander the existence of manifestations occurs, the limit of the commander can not be spoken/marked.

By His Command, the manifestations happen; and the extent/limit of His manifestations (are limitless, so) can't be said...
(no one can say, and all the set/defined dates and procedures of/in creation and doomsday theories in other religions are mere imaginary speculations) .

Through the commander the existence of life and lifeforms occurs, the greatness of this feat is bestowed onto the commander themself for this.

Creation happens through the Command, and through the Command one is blessed.

Through the commander there is relativity of better (higher) and worse (lower), the commander writes pain pleasure accordingly.

Some, by His Command, are blessed and forgiven; others, by His Command, always wander aimlessly.

Anyone, when they receive the clearity (and conviction) of (the true God's) command, it will always come from within and not from anywhere else.

Oh Nanak, When the commander (and his command) is revealed and grabbed (as in when one associates or attaches themself to it), one doesn't consider their own ego's or anyone else's authority.

BSS:
Oh Nanak, if one understands the Command, the ego is dispelled.

Some sing (praise and promote) God as strength, and by praising him one gets the strength.
Or,
Some sing with strength, the max strength they have.

Bss
Some praise the strength; some feel the strength.

Some sing (praise and promote) the things (substance) as his signs/identities (like Idol worship).
Or
Some praise in gratitude, considering material wealth as sign of his blessings

Some praise the blessings and consider it as a sign.

Some praise a few collection of beneficial virtues and attributes.

Some praise mere knowledge gained about Him through arduous contemplation.

Some sing praises because they believe that God, having fashioned the body, will ultimately reduce it to dust.

Some praise/sing (because they think) that their life will be bestowed with another body after they die (concept of reincarnation, constant manifestation).

Some praise His ability to take away life and then give it back (next life through reincarnation).

Some praise Him as a distant entity, perceiving Him as far removed from creation.
