The individuals (Gurmukhs) attuned to the Word, who have realized the Eternal Truth through the Word, their ego (pride) is completely eradicated, and all the desires and cravings of their mind (Mansaa) are quieted within the mind itself.

God automatically and effortlessly resolves the affairs of those individuals who are attuned to the Divine Name.

Through the grace (Parsaad) of the Divine, He takes permanent residence within the mind of a human being—the One who possesses the ultimate power and capacity to resolve and perfect all affairs.

Whosoever seeks to rival those protected by God Himself is ultimately brought to ruin. For the shelter of the Divine beloved is absolute, leaving their adversaries with nothing but bitter despair.

Bereft of devotion to the True Guru and union with the Divine Name, one never finds sanctuary in God. Submerged in worldly illusions, the self-willed spend their days in the empty chatter of ego and desire—dying an inner death, only to weep in deep agony at the journey's end.

The self-willed remain trapped in an endless cycle of birth and death, and their minds never find a stable anchor or true peace. Throughout their entire lives, they break free from one sorrow only to become entangled in another, ultimately dissolving entirely into their own suffering.

One who becomes a Gurmukh (turns one's face towards the Divine), meaning comes into His Will, obtains Amrit/Nectar (which is itself liberated/free from death) and merges into Eternal Truth forever.

Without serving the True Word and connecting with the Divine Name, the cycle of birth and death never releases its hold, no matter what efforts or great religious rituals one performs.

They study Vedas and debate, prescribing rituals and chants for worldly gains; yet, Vedas do not unveil the Divine. Without connecting to the Essence, all inner dignity is lost.

The Divine is eternal, and His teaching is an unshakeable truth. The being who meditates upon the Divine Name and seeks refuge in the Divine, is liberated from the cycle of birth and death.

Those who anchor the absolute truth within their minds find perfect alignment with ultimate reality; in binding themselves to this eternal source, their very conduct and character become completely authentic.

The honor of those who anchor the foundational essence within their minds endures forever; no force can ever erase the path of those who walk in alignment with timeless truth.

O Nanak, I am forever indebted to those who have anchored themselves to the Divine Name; I sacrifice myself in deepest gratitude to them.
