All relationships and worldly interactions last only as long as you are alive; you must understand the world in this way.

O Nanak! Sing the praises of the Lord (meditate on the Divine Name); other than Him, everything that is visible is merely like a dream (which will ultimately vanish).

Tilang Mahala 9

O mind! Sing the praises (contemplate the Name) of the Lord, for He alone shall accompany you in the very end.

Heed my words, for time is fleeting away; waste not this precious moment. Pause, and reflect.

You have attached an immense, blind infatuation toward property, luxury holdings, wealth, and high status or power.

When the noose of Death arrives and falls around your neck, all worldly possessions, wealth, relatives, and family will instantly become foreign to you (no one will stand by your side).

Even while knowing fully well that this world will not go with you and everything must be left behind, you still did not contemplate the Divine Name—and thus, you have ruined your life's true purpose and let this existence go to waste.

Driven by worldly pleasures, greed, and vices, you never hesitated from evil deeds, doing so without any restraint. Nor did you ever eliminate pride, arrogance, or ego from within your mind; instead, you lived your entire life entirely bound to your self-conceit.

Listen with deep focus to the method and path (contemplation of the Name) that the True Lord has provided to make your life successful, and enshrine this teaching within your heart.

Nanak proclaims aloud, crying out with a powerful call, that you should delay no longer and come immediately into the sanctuary of the Eternal Lord.

The Vedas and the Abrahamic books abound with exaggerations, yet they fall short of revealing the Ultimate Truth. Consequently, reading them cannot erase the deep-seated anxieties of the mind, for these texts fail to grant the direct realization of the Lord.

If you can completely steady your mind even for a single moment, stabilizing and calming it by tuning into the Divine Name, then that Master (God) will not be found in some distant sky or in stories of the afterlife, but will appear directly and palpably right by your side.

Instead of wandering outward, search your own heart and mind every single day. If you examine your inner self daily (and connect with the Divine Name), you will never wander in mental distraction, anxiety, pain, or distress.

This world before our eyes is but a deceptive carnival of magic—a fleeting specter. Just as a magician displays his illusions only to dissolve them into nothingness, this temporal realm is a passing mirage. Within this phantom fair, no material wealth and no mortal can hold your hand or guide you in the end. Pause, and reflect.

Ignorant minds feel a false sense of joy by repeatedly reading the untruths, falsehoods, or fabricated claims written in scriptures (such as the false allurements of heaven and hell after death). Remaining completely oblivious to the Eternal Truth (the realization of the Divine), they merely engage in arrogant and futile arguments with others.

The Lord alone is the Real behind all realities, the eternal and foundational Truth. That True Lord is immanent within His own creation, woven into the very heart of the cosmos. He is not confined to any singular form, finite idol, or limited to any historical persona like the dark-hued image of Krishna.

O seeker! Look not to the distant skies above, for within your very heart lies a sacred ocean of divine love and the Eternal Name. Immerse your mind into its depths, and wash away every impurity.

Our mortal eyes are insufficient to behold the Divine. Only when one sheds the ego, embraces profound humility, and dons the lenses of loving devotion within, do all outer wanderings cease. It is then that the form of the Timeless Lord reveals itself everywhere—imbued within every single atom of the universe.

That Lord (Allah) is the purest of the pure; meaning, He is a Sovereign Being in whom there is no flaw, discrimination, or impurity. I would only harbor doubt regarding His existence or His omnipresence if there were any other like Him existing in the universe. When He alone pervades the entire cosmos, there remains absolutely no room for doubt.

Allah is simply one of the many descriptive (man-made) names, and within Sikhi, there is no hatred toward any word. Using the word Allah here does not mean conforming to Islam; rather, Kabir Sahib uses the word Allah to denote that ultimate Secret/Real which has no second form or alternative, but is entirely One.

Kabir proclaims that this entire divine play—the awakening to the Name and the profound silencing of the mind—rests solely upon the benediction of the Supreme Merciful Lord. That Lord Himself orchestrates this communion, drawing minds unto Himself, and He alone holds the key to the mystery of His Grace. No mortal can possess Him through sheer willpower or hollow scholastic debate; it is entirely a reflection of the Master's Sovereign Will and unconditional Love
